Margaritas were good and the pork belly nachos were really yummy! I would definitely come back and recommend getting the pork belly on your tacos, nachos, quesadillas or whatever! Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking to make sure that we were ok. She's the one who recommended the pork belly! My friend and I came straight after work and the place wasn't too crowded, but it was pretty busy by the time we left. Oh, did I mention the pork belly lol!?!?

The moment you step into Tempo Cantina, you are greeted by a fluorescent and energetic atmosphere. People are taking shots (the tables are made with little elevated platforms to make more room for your drinks!), cheering loudly and generally having a good time. If you're looking for a quiet dinner for two, this ain't it! For a bar, the food was on the pricier side and that is why I'm taking off a star. For example, we had Tacos Dorados for $17. The menu is eclectic, and we had two of the Japmex (Japanese Mexican) sushi rolls, which range in price from $18-24. However, the food was pretty tasty. And our waitress was friendly, checking in on us every few minutes.

I love this place!! I've been here about twice already and great experience both times. I've tried their ceviche and wet burrito and it did not disappoint. Their food is tasty and I love it. I usually never finish my burritos and would always need a to go box but I demolished my burrito, that's when you know I ENJOYED it. Their drinks are really good as well. You can't go wrong with their Margaritas and Michiladas, I recommend. Also, don't forget to follow mr.tempo for 3 dollar tequila shots!! The restaurant is really cute and good for large groups! Customer service is great, the servers are really nice and attentive. Will def be back next time!

I was able to give this place a try with a few coworkers. The place was good for some food and drinks after work, but the unconventional thing here is they do not have happy hour during 6pm - 9pm. We had the ceviche duo as an appetizer, which came with a few tostadas. This was really good and I'd recommend it to any seafood loving individual. I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of items on their menu, so I ended up going with al pastor tacos. They were good tacos, nothing mind blowing though. We did have the waiter and manager come check up on us occasionally and that deserves an extra star!

My review is based on two times visiting Tempo Kitchen. First time -- we came in to reserve for a large party following a graduation happening in 2 weeks. My husband and I came in right as they opened (11am) and were greeted with Happy Hour specials. We ordered a little of everything to try it all -- Al Pastor Tacos, Mucho Carne Asada Fries, ceviche, pork belly bites and margaritas. We loved all the food-- it was all so flavorful and delicious so we felt confident in booking our large party. Fast forward to today, we entered after graduation and the service was speedy at first. Our waiter Juan Pablo was taking drink orders and they were coming out almost immediately. People began putting in food orders at the same time and food began coming out... until it stopped. Half of our party went food less for about 25 mins and finally we were offered shots to make up for the delay... but with several elders over 60, they just wanted their food rather than shots before driving home. Finally their food came and half of them just decided to take it to go since it took so long, but the ones who did eat it enjoyed it and we still got a few rounds of shots and they comped the slow meals to make up for the issue. There were a few other grad parties that showed up (not sure if they had reservations or not), and I think the kitchen and staff were a bit overwhelmed with the volume of people. This time around I tried the chicken tinga tacos per Juan Pablo's recommendation and he was spot on, they were SO GOOD. Definitely had great flavors! Both Juan Pablo and the manager apologized several times for the inconvenience and honestly, as long as you go with a smaller group on a regular day, I think you'll still get great food and service here!
